Soy un apasionado por el baloncesto, por varios años jugué a nivel de selección. Tuve varios entrenadores, pero en especial recuerdo a uno por lo exigente y lo intimidante que era, no toleraba un error, era impresionante la forma en que reaccionaba cuando un jugador fallaba una cesta o se equivocaba en alguna asistencia.

Recuerdo un partido en el que me sentía frustrado porque había fallado algunos tiros, estaba sentado en la banca con los ojos aguados a punto de llorar viendo como mis otros compañeros si anotaban.

En ese momento cuando mis lágrimas caían al suelo, el entrenador me dijo una frase que jamás olvidare: “Cada 24 segundos tienes una nueva oportunidad para anotar, no estés triste”. En baloncesto cada equipo tiene 24 segundos para tirar a canasta.

¿Te has puesto a pensar que Dios es así? No importa que tan malo haya sido tu día, o que tan frustrado te sientas, tal vez te sientes mal porque le fallaste y cometiste algún pecado, no sé cuál sea tu situación actual, pero lo que sí sé, es que Dios siempre te dirá: “tienes otros veinticuatro, tienes otra oportunidad”.

Cada día cuando despertamos, podemos recordarnos a nosotros mismos que las misericordias de Dios no fallarán y que Él cada día nos da otra oportunidad de hacer mejor las cosas.
